A rambling tutorial on how I export my videos to take advantage of the new widescreen real estate You Tube has implemented while still retaining a certain amount of quality. Doing this from Finalcut Pro should be much the same process.

What is the best way on a Mac to upload files to youtube for optimum quality? I don't know the answer to this but here is how I've always done it.
NB: The files that iMovie exports are .mov files.

This YT bug only seems to occur with some people and it's real simple to fix if it does.
Refreshing in this way also works in that situation where you get the "Picture coming soon" image when your video has already processed but no actual image is showing up.
I love this alteration YT did. Though small, I think it's one of the best additions in the past year.
